[Job Offer] Research Assistants in Social Sciences, Deadline – 30 October 2023.
Job Summary:
This position is for one year on a full-time basis (from November 2023). The selected candidate will work on a research project to identify individual communities from a variety of databases and documentary sources.
Prerequisite:
Master’s degree or above in social sciences (preferably anthropology, sociology, or demography).
Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Objective: to classify individual communities, retrieve documentation, and identify other sources of knowledge from existing databases and resources.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with India’s sociological structure and communities (field experience an advantage).
- Capacity to effectively extract and compile information from Internet sources and published materials
- Capacity to handle complex Excel files (knowledge of other statistical software an advantage)
- NCR resident
Status and Remuneration:
This is a full-time job based at the CSH, Delhi.
The starting income will be ₹40,000 per month but will be adjusted accordingly (after a probationary period of three months or for candidates with experience).
