About the movie: Rapture tells the story of a community of Meghalaya living in constant fear of kidnappers, following a church prophecy of 80-day apocalyptic darkness. The film focuses on a ten-year-old boy who is night-blind and finds the village particularly terrifying.
About the festival: INDIE TALKIES is a series of film projections curated by the Centre de Sciences Humaines (CSH) and hosted by Alliance Française de Delhi (AFD). Happening once a month, the lineup includes feature-length films and documentaries from across the country, showcasing a diversity of languages, formats and aesthetic sensibilities. It aims to discuss the different financial, artistic, and political facets of independence in filmmaking.
