Brinda G. KRISHNAN

Biography:
Brinda G. Krishnan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the TransIndian Diary project, working under the supervision of Dr. Marie Derville. Her current research focuses on digital technology adoption and agroecological transitions, with particular emphasis on the role of meso-level actors and institutional processes in Indian agriculture. She recently submitted her Ph.D. in Economics at the Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS), Chennai. Her doctoral dissertation, titled “Climate Change, Regional Farming Systems and Maladaptation: A Study of Spice Production in Southern India”, explores how climate change intersects with regional agrarian systems and the risks of maladaptive responses. Her broader academic interests lie at the intersection of agriculture, ecological change, and regional economies, with a particular inclination toward interdisciplinary and mixed-methods research.
