Yves-Marie Rault-Chodankar

Yves-Marie Rault-Chodankar has a PhD degree in development geography and specializes in economic development in the global South. His thesis was an ethnography of entrepreneurial circles in Ahmedabad and Mumbai that aimed at unpacking the discreet and alternative ways in which the Indian pharmaceutical industry connects to production networks in developing countries. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre Population et Développement (CEPED) and the Institut Francilien Innovation et Société (IFRIS) where he investigates the role of developing countries in the emerging global market for biosimilars (generics of biological drugs), drawing on the case of India’s biopharmaceutical industry.
