BIOGRAPHY:

Paul-Emile Charlier  is currently enrolled in the Master Demography at the University of Strasbourg. He is a visiting researcher at the CSH under the supervision of Christophe Z. Guilmoto and working on the links between son preference and health services use in childhood. His quantitative research aims to investigate these connections and assess the impact this has on prenatal care access as well as how it affects new-born and maternal health, according to the child’s gender.
