Ishani Shenbaga SARAVANAN
Ishani Shenbaga Saravanan is currently enrolled in master’s degree in sustainable food systems in ISARA, Lyon (France). She will be involved in research activities as an intern as part of the IndiaBio project which is financed by the National Agricultural, Environmental and Food Research Institute (INRAE) of France. She will be based at Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities (CSH), in New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Marie Dervillé. Her research activities aim at “characterizing the governance of large-scale agricultural transition from conventional towards organic and natural farming.” During the term of the research, she will be exploring the modalities and environmental, economic and societal impacts of organic farming in Sikkim and natural farming in Andhra Pradesh that presently seems to exemplify as the forerunner in green transitions, but for which the scientific evidences are scarce.
