Ipsita Kumar has been working as a part time Research Assistant on the IndiaMilk project. Her research in the project focuses data compilation and modeling to estimate feed available for livestock in India. Prior to joining CSH, she worked on developing models to make daily seasonal rainfall forecasts, and estimating future costs of water supply (including deficit) at the Columbia Water Center, Columbia University. She worked at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) where her research focus was on resource and development economics. She has an MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University, an MSc Economics from TERI University, and a BA (Hons) Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.
