Dinesh Kumar Tiwari

Dinesh Kumar Tiwari holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and M.Sc. in Social Anthropology from Sagar University, Madhya Pradesh. He has 18 years of extensive experience in managing large-scale social surveys across India. His gamut of expertise comprises field management, monitoring and supervision of data collection, data quality management, and qualitative interviews. He has a deep interest in ethnographic research, migration studies, and experimental research on public health and economics. Currently, he is engaged with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi as a Fellow. He has been part of the widely renowned Indian Human Development Survey (IHDS), waves II, II-M, and III since 2011. Before joining NCAER, he was associated with the World Bank and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) on multiple research studies.

At CSH, he was the Research Advisor in the framework of the research project, “Extreme Poverty – Building Evidence for Effective Action” in the team of Prof. Himanshu. He provided guidance on the quality assurance of CAPI data collection in Palanpur, Sambhal, and Uttar Pradesh.
