Aparna SENGUPTA

Aparna Sengupta is a Geographer and Environmentalist by training and is presently a Doctoral Scholar in Centre for Studies in Science Policy, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. She has completed her M.Phil in Science Policy from Centre for Studies in Science Policy, Jawaharlal Nehru University and received a Master’s Degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia and University of Delhi respectively. I have previously worked on Disaster Management and Information-Communication Technology (ICT), Vulnerability Assessment, Cartographic Mapping, Traditional Knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction. Her research interests focus on Disaster and Climate Governance policy, post-disaster aid, Cultural and Geographical Diversity in context to Disasters, Role of Traditional Knowledge in Disaster Risk reduction, Information and Communication Technology, Environmental Policy.
