Dr. Julien Levesque, an associate researcher of CSH and visiting assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences, Ashoka University, released his book Pour une autre idée du Pakistan : nationalisme et construction identitaire dans le Sindh, by University Press of Rennes in the series of their books collection Res Publica in January 2022.

The book throws light on a little known aspect of Pakistan’s political history, by showing that although the Sindhi nationalist movement has so far failed to obtain its main political objectives, its ethnic vision of society has nonetheless shaped Sindhi society and politics in the 20th century.
