About the movie: In Maharashtra, a group of widows come together to break the vicious cycle of debt and climate-related chaos in Indian agriculture that has pushed their desperate husbands to kill themselves. A documentary that radiates light — through spectacular intimate cinematography, captured with great delicacy friendship, courage and grief.

About the festival: INDIE TALKIES is a series of film projections curated by the Centre de Sciences Humaines (CSH) and hosted by Alliance Française de Delhi (AFD). It aims to discuss the different financial, artistic and political facets of independence in filmmaking.
