Biography:

Tapasya Raj is a PhD candidate at the University of Strasbourg and is affiliated to Sociétés, acteurs, gouvernement en Europe (SAGE). Her research is funded by CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique— the French National Center for Scientific Research). Her research aims to understand how India’s hierarchical structures, particularly caste and gender, influence well-being disparities. By applying an intersectional lens, it will explore how concurrent and overlapping nature of social inequalities intersect to shape an individual’s well-being.
