Somsakun MANEERAT

Somsakun Maneerat is a PhD fellow under ANR (The French National Research Agency) funded project called AEDESS (Analysis and Spatial Simulation of Dengue Emergence). Her research is focused on multi-agent modeling and simulation of vector-borne diseases in urban areas. She is particularly interested in the study of the relationship between dengue vector (Aedes aegypti mosquitos) dynamics and heterogeneous urban environments including aspects of climate, socio-economic practices and urbanization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (University of Avignon) and a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Planning (University of Rennes-2) in France.
