L'Institut Français de Pondichéry (IFP) et le Centre de Sciences Humaines (CSH), centres de recherche de l'USR 3330 "Savoirs et Mondes Indiens" du CNRS, rappellent qu'ils peuvent accueillir chaque année des enseignants-chercheurs des universités françaises en délégation CNRS. The CSH is involved in the project NOPOOR - Enhancing Knowledge for Renewed Policies against Poverty.

NOPOOR aims to produce new and specific knowledge on poverty using comparative quantitative and qualitative analysis conducted by research institutions from the North and South working in close cooperation and in relation with National Institutes of Statistics. It will draw relevant theoretical and practical lessons from these studies. Civil society organizations will also be involved in NOPOOR. Economic and Political Weekly has started a Review of Urban Affairs more than a year ago that comes twice a year. RUA is a recognition of the importance of the topic like other special issues of EPW on rural affairs, women’s studies or agriculture.
